“This Week in Plasma” brings a brand new HDR calibration wizard, an improved configuration dialog for the comics widget, textual headers for for audio devices in the volume widget, a new animation for when you empty the trash can, and much, much more.

At this point, plasma is just flexing how badass it can be, and I’m very much ok with that.
@kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social Personally I prefer the way of trash being just a directory, a .desktop file on desktop and in file manager instead of a widget.

Trash is still just a folder. The widget just makes it easier to interact with.
I don’t see anything in the blogpost that indicates they’re doing this. Isn’t this just an extra widget, that probably interacts with the folder? Then, you can just remove the widget if you don’t want it.
Is it being completely converted into a widget, or is this widget just in addition to what it is now?
But will it stop crashing when waking up with a secondary monitor connected? We’ll find out in the next patch.
Have you filed this bug? My experience with the KDE team has been decent. They normally look at bug reports within a couple of days.
I report everu crash via the UI, and I saw several bug reports on this type of crash. I don’t know if I wont be making more noise.
I’m all for more noise. I don’t have that issue, but I support your noise, as long as it is respectful and not entitled 😁
Pretty sure I was having the same issue, which is why I disabled sleep a while ago iirc
So that still isn’t fixed huh?
